Joanna Nyenhuis is the Owner, Trainer, and coach at

JRN Equestrian. Jo has over 30 years of riding and horsemanship experience. Throughout her career, she has been fortunate to work with some very knowledgeable horsemen and women. Those people helped mold her into the instructor, trainer, and all-around horsewoman she is today.

Jo has been teaching for over 20 years. Her students ranged from first-time riders to advanced riders working towards fine-tuning their skills.  She works to instill confidence in her riders so they are prepared to handle any situation whether it be in or out of the show ring.

Her students have found success while showing locally in Massachusetts, along with being successful on the very competitive GHJA Hunter/Jumper circuit while she was living in Georgia.

While Jo grew up in Massachusetts she spent time living in Georgia and most recently moved to Virginia from New York when her husband was offered a new job.
